All About Headaches
Headaches are often accompanied by pain in the head, either above the eyes or ears, behind the head, or in the back of the upper neck. This pain tends to be caused by problems related to the structures of the head that are particularly sensitive to pain, including the blood vessels, muscles, and nerves in the head and neck.
What About Migraines?
Though commonly lumped into the headache category, migraines are a completely separate condition. They are much more aggressive than regular headaches, involving a prodromal phase or early symptoms that sometimes debilitates its victim. These symptoms include nausea, vomiting, and visual disturbances. Following the prodromal phase, headaches do occur, but only as a small part of the entire migraine experience.
