There is Life After Pain!
The day in February 2007 that I walked into the office of Dr. Lichter was the day life started changing for me. I had been living with pain resulting from three rear end accidents, the first of which was in 1994, and the last in October 2006. I had been through physical therapy and years of pain medications, but I was never without pain. Since the last accident, I was seriously considering surgery when my daughter told me about the chiropractic services of Dr. William Lichter.
I have to admit that I was a little reluctant because of a previous bad experience with a Chiropractor; but at that point, I was willing to try anything. I was experiencing severe neck and shoulder pain with tingling in my arm as well as lower back pain. I was unable to participate in activities I enjoyed, such as tennis and swimming. It was also difficult to sit for long periods; therefore I experienced discomfort going to the movies or to a play.
After reviewing my x-rays and MRI, Dr. Lichter developed a regimen for treatment. He assured me that if I stuck to the plan, I would have relief, and he was absolutely right. Although my treatment, which included adjustments, therapy, exercise and wonderful massages, took several months, I actually looked forward to my appointments. With each appointment I felt more and more relief. I can now say that I made one of the best decisions in my life when I decided to go to Dr. Lichter.
I have been able to do things such as swim, play tennis, bowl and walk distances without pain. I continue to go for maintenance and I know when I overdo it, I can go in for an adjustment and leave with a smile.
The office staff is an added plus. They are kind and considerate and truly know how to relate to people in pain. When it comes to patient care and customer service, Dr. Lichter and his staff have a triple “A” rating. I recommend this service to anyone who is suffering pain that is affecting their quality of life. I never thought I would ever feel this good again.

I have been a patient of West Bay Chiropractic for several years. I was recommended by a friend. I am a long distance endurance bicycling athlete and avid and committed health club enthusiast. Without Dr. Lichter the goals and milestones accomplished over the years could not have been remotely possible.
I rarely went to a chiropractor and frankly was afraid of them. On my first visit after walking in the office after a bicycle fall I could hardly stand or bend. The first person who greeted me with a caring smile was Mandy. She had me fill out some forms and I remember she was so sensitive to my ailing back. She just “Took Control” and filled out the forms for me. Next I met Dr Lichter. When his door closed to speak with me I was astonished because he acted as if I was the only patient in the office. After x-rays and more conversation explaining exactly what was ailing me and his plan to address my situation Dr. Lichter adjusted me. Every movement he made was with caution and accuracy in an attempt to minimize the pain he knew I was feeling. After several visits I recovered. What impressed me the most was the fact that his goal was to have me back on my bicycle and not in his office.
Throughout the years and after several more falls and pain due to low back disc disease I would find myself at my own discretion taking more adjustments. Within a short time period I would be back on my bike. I have learned so much from Dr Lichter and his staff but the one thought that sticks in my mind is “commitment”. We tend to take so many things for granted. We expect that medical professionals will cure us. What we overlook is the “dedication”, humility” and “sensitivity” in addition to the “medical experience” that enables them to help us feel better. Due to my challenging athletic goals I know I will always be a patient of Dr. Lichter from time to time and without his “dedication” I would never still be completing long distance endurance rides pain free.
